The best schools near Jebel Ali Village: a parent's guide.
For most families, the school run decides the community before the house does. Here is every serious option within a 5 to 15 minute drive of Jebel Ali Village — curricula, KHDA ratings, and the questions parents actually ask.
Why this corner of Dubai works for families
Jebel Ali Village sits at the centre of one of Dubai's quiet schooling hubs. The Gardens is directly next door and holds two of the area's strongest schools. Al Furjan, one neighbourhood over, adds two more British options. Green Community, a short drive down the road, covers the IB route. Within a 15 minute radius you have the three curricula that matter to most families moving here: British, Indian CBSE and IB. In a city where many families spend forty minutes each way on the school run, this is one of Jebel Ali Village's most underrated advantages.
The UK curriculum options
The Winchester School, Jebel Ali — the doorstep choice
The Winchester School sits in The Gardens, around five minutes from the village. It is an all-through school, taking children from FS1 right up to Year 13, and it holds a KHDA rating of Very Good. For a family in the village, this is the school run measured in minutes, from nursery age to A Levels, without ever changing schools.
The Arbor School, Al Furjan — the different one
Around ten minutes away in Al Furjan, The Arbor School offers something genuinely distinct: a British curriculum built around ecology and sustainability, taught partly inside its signature biodomes. It holds a KHDA rating of Good, and offers a premium, values-led education you will not find elsewhere in the area.
Arcadia Global School, Al Furjan — the new option
Also in Al Furjan, Arcadia Global School teaches the National Curriculum for England from early years through the middle years. It is a newer school and has not yet received a formal KHDA rating. Newer schools have a practical advantage worth knowing: shorter waiting lists, which matters if you are relocating mid-year. Its sister school, Arcadia British School in Jumeirah Village Triangle, is around fifteen minutes away and holds a KHDA rating of Very Good.
A note on history
Jebel Ali School, one of Dubai's original schools, was founded right here in Jebel Ali in 1977. It has since relocated to DAMAC Hills, but the point stands. Families have been educating their children from this corner of Dubai for nearly fifty years. The new village is not inventing a family community, it is continuing one.
The IB route
Greenfield International School, Green Community
If your family runs on the International Baccalaureate, Greenfield International School covers it fully. Located in Green Community, around 10 to 15 minutes from the village, Greenfield teaches the IB pathway from the early years through to the Diploma, and holds a KHDA rating of Very Good. For internationally mobile families, the IB continuum matters: a child can move from Jebel Ali Village to almost any major city in the world and slot into the same system.
The CBSE option
Delhi Private School, Dubai — the top-rated CBSE choice
For Indian families, Delhi Private School in The Gardens is the headline. It follows the CBSE curriculum, holds a KHDA rating of Very Good, and sits five to seven minutes from the village along the Sheikh Zayed Road corridor. A Very Good rated CBSE school this close is a serious part of the village's appeal for Indian families, and one of the reasons demand here runs deeper than the portals suggest.
Two Very Good schools, two curricula, five minutes away. Very few Dubai villa communities can say that.
